Brides, please don’t pick bridesmaids according to who can afford to dress themselves. Pick the girls that are closest to you, that will look after you and keep your spirit up throughout the day. Basically just make it a good ol’ time. That doesn’t mean that you should break their bank either so this is how you go about it for those that are opting to custom make and keep their dresses
1. Pick a very simple style. Do not get something too complex to make as this will increase the dress making fee. Something nice and simple, that the girls will be able to wear another time.
2. Its important to pick good quality fabric. I can’t stress this enough. You will get a couple of wears from it and it will be easy for your dress maker to handle which will lessen the stress and time to make it. Then everyone involved is happy 
Ladies, simple doesn’t mean unattractive either. This is how you upgrade simple to elegant and sexy:
1. Add touches of lace trimming in strategic places that accentuate your curves. For example on the sides of your body as seen in picture 1.
Buying one meter of beautiful lace fabric should be enough to use for at most 6 dresses. You can add little buttons that move down your back over your bottom down to the floor length hem of the dress.
2. Add maybe 3 pleats that move across your body to draw attention to your waist line and hips, as shown in picture 2.
3. If you are going for short or mid length dresses, make the hem a tulip style as in picture 3. It’s more interesting and shows off your beautiful legs.
4. I can’t leave out my fabulous, bodacious plus size babes. I would give you a corset look. This will synch in your waist and lift up your bosom and just give the overall look a touch of a boudoir vibe. I think corset looks are great for wedding gowns too just look at that bride in picture 4.
